FAQ

  1. How far away from the garage should the conduit be? The PVC stormwater pipe must be 3.5 - 4 meters from the garage. It is important that you mark where the pipe is under the driveway, so that our installers can locate it easily.

  2. How big is the conduit supposed to be? The PVC pipe is to be 90mm in diameter and whatever length necessary for your particular driveway.

  3. How deep is the conduit supposed to be? The PVC pipe is to be 300mm below ground.

  4. What do I do with the application? Complete the application voucher by clearly filling in the details as instructed and send the application to either your developer or Landscape Development, as outlined on the voucher.

  5. What happens now that I have the introduction letter? Once you have received the letter, it is your responsibility to complete the owner requirements outlined on the letter and they are also mentioned under the Application Voucher and Letter Procedure  on the "Landscape Packages" page (Section 1). Once these are complete, contact Landscape Development and we will arrange a consultation booking.

  6. How long does the warranty for irrigation last? The warranty for irrigation is valid for 12 months after the installation.

  7. How long does the consultation take? For a standard block the consultation should only take half an hour and approximately an hour for a corner block.

  8. When am I allowed to water my new garden? After the installation is finished we will set your controller to ensure adequate watering. On or before the day of installation you must get in contact with the Water Corporation on 13 10 39 and ask for a water exemption. You need to check your exemption certificate for its expiry and you must reset the controller back to your specified watering days before that date.

  9. Can I have all lawn with no garden bed or have no lawn and all garden bed? Contact your developer or local shire for specifications. As Water Wise Landscapers & Irrigators, we promote a 60/40 ration. 60% turf, 40% garden.

  10. How many plants am I allowed to have? The plants and garden shape will be discussed in detail at the consultation. The consultant will offer recommendations to maintain a water wise garden.

  11. Do I have to have a street tree? Yes, this is a local shire and developer requirement.

  12. How do I change my street tree? You cannot change the street tree, because the tree theme for your street has been determined by the local shire and your developer.

  13. How do I make changes to my plan? Due to design and ordering requirements, plans cannot be changed after you have received your installation date.

  14. When should I mow my lawn post install? If the installation has taken place during spring/summer you should mow the lawn two weeks after install, and four weeks after install during winter/autumn.

  15. How long will I have to wait for my installation? The waiting time for the installation will vary depending on the amount of bookings for each month. Five to eight weeks is a rough estimate for an installation booking.

  16. Can I upgrade my landscape package? Absolutely. By paying us the difference in cost, you can upgrade to include more and / or larger plants, different turf species, etc.. Just mention your requirements to our consultant, and we'll give you an on-the-spot quotation.
